The PRIDEnet Team
Participants in research and people like you are at the heart of our community! PRIDEnet’s team also includes staff who are researchers and community engagement specialists, and who work in collaboration with our:
Community Partner Consortium (CPC): organizations across the country focused on LGBTQIA+ and/or health, including community centers, clinics, and advocacy organizations who help connect their networks with opportunities to participate in research. For example, Community Partner Consortium organizations may include materials about research opportunities in their physical spaces and collaborate on events and presentations to help to educate and engage their staff, community members, and patients about research opportunities.
Participatory Advisory Committee (PAC): a group of health care, research, and advocacy specialists who inform PRIDEnet’s practices for both research and community engagement. For example, the PAC helps to guide PRIDEnet’s researcher engagement for the All of Us Research Program and reviews and provides input on The PRIDE Study’s questionnaires and applications for Ancillary Studies.
Ambassadors: advocates who work within their communities to engage people in research and raise up and address feedback or concerns. For example, Ambassadors review and provide input on educational and promotional materials and help spread the word about, participate in, and organize community engagement activities.
